With all the ideas coming together, what we really just needed to do was fully develop everything into finalised ideas. The first thing we did this with was the posters; we all did some little poster designs and did sort of a peer critique and decided which posters we wanted to carry forward and use for the final exhibit design. We decided on these designs because they are bold, contemporary and utilise imagery directly from the golden record; it’s interesting that the posters doe not just represent this space theme but also have imagery representative of the human race. We thought hopefully this imagery would give people ideas a little bit.
This poster was picked for the call for submission poster because it’s very in keeping with the other posters picked and its bold and eye catching, the satellite image works well and a visual device to draw the eye into the main type.
So after picking the posters, the next few things to do were to ~:- do some designs/ideas for the catalogue, do some ideas for the curation and event space and do a full cost run down.
